No Fewer Than 98 Palestinians Lost Their Lives in Detention Since October 2023, Israeli Data Shows
According to information released by Israel, no fewer than 98 Palestinian individuals have perished while detained since October 2023. A rights monitoring body operating from Israel has indicated that the real number is almost certainly considerably higher, as a result of many of disappeared detainees from Gaza.

High-Profile Cases
Several casualties in confinement have been high profile, including a 50-year-old medical chief who perished in detention after a third of a year in detention.
An inmate incarcerated with the victim reported that he was brought to the exercise area by correctional officers immediately preceding his passing, visibly injured and exposed from the lower body. His corpse has not been repatriated to Gaza.
Further inmates who lost their lives in Israeli custody remain anonymous. The prison service and armed services supplied investigators with the figure of fatalities in custody, and limited further data for example the site where they perished, but not the prisoners’ names.
Documentation Problems
